Hoppy Easter...

We had a wonderful, but chilly Easter. Saturday, Derricks mom, Cindy always has a candy and easter egg hunt for the little ones. Then she has a riddle scavanger hunt for the "older" kids. She loves to hide little plastic eggs in hard small places. She gives us a written clue that leads to the next egg. At the end we have to unscramble letters to find out where she has hidden the candy bags. It is so fun and we always look forward to it.
After we all warmed back up, we had lunch and played a little basketball.
Easter morning the kids woke up to a little easter basket with candy and a new Easter outfit. It was General Conference this year, so we didn't have church and was able to sleep in a bit.
We had lunch at Kevin and Cindy's with all the traditonal Easter feast. And it was delicious. Ham, chicken salad on cresent rolls, deviled eggs, potato salad, coleslaw, veggies and dip. After lunch we went on a beautiful little ride up Monrovian canyon, where we almost got stuck being we were in the car and there is still snow.
We finished the day at my mom and dads with a BBQ with the family. Dad BBQ's the BEST burgers and Grandma Anderson made baked beans and strawberry shortcake. We didn't have lots of people since most of the family was out of state at the time.
It was a beautiful Easter and we are so blessed for all that we have and for the Savior and his sacrifice for us.
