Owens Reunion 2010...

July 4th..

Watching the parade with Dad..
Brogun and Trevin cooling off..

Double vision...

Enjoying the shade..

The 4th of July has quickly came and gone again. It was nice to go to Monroe and watch the parade and run into friends for a visit. But it is even nicer to get out of the heat and cool off.
After the park we went back to the house and Devin, Malory and Trevin came over to play in the water. The babies loved getting wet and getting in and out of the pool. By the time they were finished, the pool was about empty.
We had a great BBQ at Ty and Tiffany's in the afternoon. Then stayed at home to watch a few fireworks.
Hope everyone had a enjoyable 4th as well!!

Tea Time with Grandma...

We are so very blessed to have such an amazing Grandma Cindy. She always goes above and beyond to make memories with her family.
She decided that it would be fun to have a "Tea Party" with the grand daughters. She had them all come to her house one afternoon and make hats, fans, finger sandwiches, mexican wedding cookies, and cream puffs.
All of the granddaughters recieved special invitations in the mail for the event. And it was requested that they "dress up" for the occasion. So on the 7th of July the girls all met at Grandma's house then went to the church to sit under the shade. Not only did they have lunch together, but she also brought her real china and gave each grandaughter her own cup and saucer for their truso. She also read them a special story and gave them each a mirror.
Everyone had such a blast and it will always be a special memory to her grand daughters.

Hanging with Drakester...

The boys' decided to start the summer off with a camping trip to "Hunters Flat" on Cove Mountain. And for any of you that have been on Cove you know that the mountain is quite steep, especially for pulling a heavy camp trailor. Well, we decided to go for it anyhow.

The ride up was slow and what we thought was not to terribly bad, until we got stopped at the camp site. Then realized that our truck was terribly over heated and had transmission fluid boiling out from under the truck. We thought, GREAT we have blown the truck up, but lucky we had cell service to call a friend in the valley to pick his brain. He explained that he would send fluid up the hill for us and as long as our levels were okay, then we could come home and have it serviced. Wow, for some stress!

Then the weather decided to change on us and turn terribly cold and rain the rest of the trip.
We all still had fun, but it made it a little hard to hang out much around the camp fire.
The night before we came home Tyler and Tiffanys family, Kevin, Cindy, Marcea, Trevor and Angelia all came up for Dutch oven dinner. It was delicious! We all huddled under the make shift cover to keep dry. It continued to rain all night. So the next morning we all decided it best to leave the trailors and come back after a few day when the roads dried up a bit. Good call too, cause the roads were super mud slick on the way home. It was quite the camp trip. Good thing the family makes it all fun.
While we were hanging in the cold Sienna was sitting on the beaches of Florida with her Grandpa and Grandma Flanagan. This was definately a camp trip that she was not sad about missing:)

Summer slacking.....

Hmmmmm....maybe I should have bought a bigger pool!!
Little Buddies...

Just a little too Big for the pool!!

Lovin the water...

Headed out for "Girls" Day...

Little yard monster...

I really did not realize how quickly the summer was passing by or how behind I am on my blog. Yicks....

The summer finally did start, after we were all wondering if it was gonna pass us by. Nope, we went from cold to HOT in just a few weeks.

We have had a fun summer so far. Made a few camping trips with the family and enjoyed putting in our first garden.

The kids are having a blast outside and Brogun makes a run for the door everytime it comes open.

Sienna and I had a fun "Girls" day out a few weeks ago. We went to lunch, shopping and lots of fun girly chit chat. This happens way to seldom and I really need to make an effort to make it a more common occurance. We had a blast together!

Play time at the Park...

Brogun enjoying the sunshine...
My cute kiddo's...
Monkey...

My little dare devil...

All boys love the dirt...

Weeeeeee....
Sienna, Brogun, Drake, and Trevin...

With Utah weather being the way it is, we never know from one day to the next what it will be like. This fall/spring has been particularly bad for that. Nice and warm one day and blizzard the next. So on the days where it is warm we take full advantage of it and head to the park.

Brogun has no fear and loves to climb everything. His favorite is going down the slide with Sienna. And I think she enjoys it just as much. Here are just a few picture's of the kiddos playing.

Home Improvements/Destruction...

Cheeeeese!
Splish Splash...

The mess....

My new red wall....love it!

Being a home owner is wonderful, except when the previous owners did such a lousy job with there so called "Home Improvements".
Last week we noticed that water was running back behind the window in the shower. At first we were not to terribly concerned and thought that if we move the shelf the water should be under and we can reseal and it will be fine. Well, it would have if the window and tub liner would have been sealed in the beginning. We have now completely torn the entire shower liner, dry wall, and insulation out due to water damage. LOVELY!! We were just happy to see that the water had not gone completely down the wall and to the floor which would lead to the basement bathroom. YICKS!!!

So now it is time to start putting it all back together. Derricks family has done lots of tile work in many of the family's houses. So we decided to use our resources and do tile. I think it will be really pretty.

Thankfully we do have a bathroom downstairs with a shower so it has not been so bad. I have been giving Brogun a bath in the kitchen sink and he loves it.

Here are a few pictures and I will update when we are done!

Hoppy Easter...

Most of the Moore grandkids
Loves the suckers

Aunt Marcea helping him pick up candy..
Waiting for Grandma Cindy to say "GO"

We had a wonderful, but chilly Easter. Saturday, Derricks mom, Cindy always has a candy and easter egg hunt for the little ones. Then she has a riddle scavanger hunt for the "older" kids. She loves to hide little plastic eggs in hard small places. She gives us a written clue that leads to the next egg. At the end we have to unscramble letters to find out where she has hidden the candy bags. It is so fun and we always look forward to it.
After we all warmed back up, we had lunch and played a little basketball.
Easter morning the kids woke up to a little easter basket with candy and a new Easter outfit. It was General Conference this year, so we didn't have church and was able to sleep in a bit.
We had lunch at Kevin and Cindy's with all the traditonal Easter feast. And it was delicious. Ham, chicken salad on cresent rolls, deviled eggs, potato salad, coleslaw, veggies and dip. After lunch we went on a beautiful little ride up Monrovian canyon, where we almost got stuck being we were in the car and there is still snow.
We finished the day at my mom and dads with a BBQ with the family. Dad BBQ's the BEST burgers and Grandma Anderson made baked beans and strawberry shortcake. We didn't have lots of people since most of the family was out of state at the time.
It was a beautiful Easter and we are so blessed for all that we have and for the Savior and his sacrifice for us.
